Writing experience & goals

Well ever since I was middle school I loved to read, but I was never a writer. I could write standard B papers with just getting by and what was needed of me, never more. Ever since freshman year I have noticed how writing more details and putting more in your descriptive paper makes a whole difference. I even noticed when I read, how boring it would be if there was hardly any discriptions and "show not tell" elements in it. My goal is to master the "show not tell" aspect and write more than what is expected of me and wow the reader:)

  1. Hi Amber (or should I say Am-Rawr?),

Great connection of reading a writing…neat to see that your awareness of writing and the 6 traits has made you more aware of the author’s craft. That should help your love of reading enrich and improve your writing even more.

Now, to your pro/con pre-assessment: Interesting focus, on the cheating aspect, rather than on the technology. Good job of using information from both articles to support your pro and con points. Your discussion gets into several aspects of the issue: student access to technology, cheating as a larger problem than that of technology. Insightful thinking!
