COMING OF AGE POSTER DRAFT

This is my Coming of age poster. I wanted to try and put other languages on it because I wanted to show that no matter where you grow up, each language has same meanings. You go through this phase of life no matter where you are in the world...

I also put pictures on my me and my family and friends on it to demonstrate that we dont have to go through it alone and we can have fun in this coming of age process. My main point is independence, thats why the INDEPENDENCE is larger and the other coming of age words are smaller. I also put the bus because it pretains to my personal coming of age. The bus represents the essence of independence on the right path to self discovery.

  1. Nice job Amber...I like the way the quotes fit in with your images...did you make these up and translate or are you quoting someone or something?
    My only recommendation would be to make the words at the bottom of the poster parallel. For example:
    headstrong = adjective --> conviction = noun
    will power noun
    optimism noun
    courageous = adjective --> courage = noun
    confident = adjective --> confidence = noun

    or change them all to adjectives :)

  2. Good job Amber. i liked how you used to bus & merged pictures together. This poster does relate to your coming of age essay. Maybe what you could do is add a couple more pictures with you, your friends, & family express that you weren't alone.
    Overall good job! :)
